The singer/songwriter project began in the Spring of 2005 with the release of the first album, “Reflection”. This first album was recorded primarily as a songwriter promotional project to showcase the songwriting skills of Madeline Roa and her ability to write across musical genre’s. This recording project was recorded with a full band/full studio polished sound in hopes to also get radio air play. In 2006, this goal was accomplished with a Sounds of Sac two month run on the now defunct KWOD 106.5, one of Sacramento’s prime radio stations during this time. She was also selected to be featured in a photo shoot for the National Magazine “Play Guitar Magazine” Summer 2006 issue based out of San Francisco, California.
While performing in several venue’s in Nevada and all over Northern California, Madeline polished her songwriting to be more reflective of her rhythmic roots developing a unique urban flavor. She is currently working on a urban acoustic album which will be released in digital download form only. Since embarking on a new experimental projected called, Anime Girl the New Beat Poet, Madeline Roa has decided to focus as a performance artist in her new music project. She continues to write and record songs at her leisure in the urban acoustic genre for distrubution deals and saleable downloads only.
